Rental Kart 4-Hour Enduro Series (4 Races)

Event Name: 4-Hour Rental Kart Enduro

Dates: June 27th, July 18th, Aug15th, and Sept 12th.

Location: Music City Kartplex

Race Duration: 4 Hours

Minimum Drivers per Team: 1

Maximum Drivers per Team: 4

Maximum Teams: 22 Karts

Minimum Pit Stops: 4

Entry Fee: $600 per Team OR

Season Pass: $2300 Per team Saving ($100)

Time Activity

5:00 PM - Registration Opens

5:30 PM - Driver’s Briefing (Mandatory)

5:45 PM - Qualifying (10 mins)

6:00 PM - Race Begins (4 Hours)

10:00 PM - Checkered Flag

10:00 PM - Awards Ceremony

Race Format & Rules

1. Qualifying (10 minutes):

• Each team has 1–4 drivers.
• One driver must complete qualifying, and that driver must start the race.
• Qualifying position determines starting grid (fastest lap = pole).
• No hot pit during qualifying; drivers must remain on track until the checkered flag.
• The driver who qualifies must start the race. 

2. Endurance Race (4 Hours):

• Teams rotate drivers throughout the event.
• Minimum of 4 pit stops per team.
• Each stop must include a driver change.
• Final pit stop required on checkered flag (all karts must enter pits at race end).
• Pits will be closed for the first ten minutes of the race and last ten minutes.

3. Driver Changes & Pit Stops:

• Driver changes are only allowed in pit lane.
• Teams must manage stints strategically to minimize time lost.
• No fueling (rental karts provided with full tanks).
• If a kart runs out of fuel on track:
• No additional laps will be credited.
• Driver must wait until staff can safely refuel them.
• If a mechanical issue occurs:
• Laps will be added back based on the team’s last completed lap time to ensure the team resumes on the same lap they left off.
• Teams may not tamper with karts outside of official adjustments allowed by staff.
• Pit lane will be closed for the first ten minutes of the race, and the last ten minutes of the race.

4. Pit Stop Procedure:

• STOP AT STOP BOX!!!
• Entry: Enter pit lane at reduced speed.
• Driver Change: Driver must fully exit kart before new driver enters.
• Exit: Kart must rejoin track safely at pit lane exit.

Weight Classes

• Lightweight Class: Minimum 180 lbs (per driver).
• Heavyweight Class: Minimum 220 lbs (per driver).
• After each stint, drivers will scale off track.
• Penalty: For every pound under the class minimum, a 3-lap penalty will be applied.

Penalties (Based on NKA Guidelines)

• Jump Start: 1-lap penalty.
• Avoidable Contact: 1-lap penalty.
• Pit Lane Speeding: 1-lap penalty.
• Failure to Complete 4 Stops: 10-lap penalty.
• Unsafe Driver Change: 1-lap penalty.
• Failure Stop box penalty: 1 Lap penalty

Race Conduct

1. Race Start:

• LeMans-style start after qualifying (drivers run to karts).
• Grid positions based on qualifying results.

2. Race Management:

• Flags used during race:
• Green: Racing
• Yellow: Caution, no passing
• Red: Race stopped
• Black: Driver disqualified
• Checkered: End of race

3. End of Race:

• Winner is the team with the most laps completed after 4 hours.
• In case of a tie, position is determined by who crosses start/finish line first.
